PJP Eye mass production of carbon batteries using an organic material such as cotton is a major breakthrough. Cotton-based carbon is seeing growing interest in the energy industry, especially as the need for innovation that looks to solving energy issues, sustainably and ethically grows.

Using our proprietary cotton-based carbon, we mass-produce organic carbon batteries developed from co-research with Kyushu University. Our patented technology is used by Labratory6 in collaboration with a range of partners to realize this technology potential.

Believing electricity to be at the heart of sustainable development, Nishina saw the vital role sustainable energy solutions would play in solving the most pressing issues. As of 2019, approximately 10% of the world’s population remains without access to electricity infrastructure, a number which is unfortunately set to rise, due to the current global Covid-19 pandemic.
The current global trend towards sustainable and environmentally friendly energy solutions is of the utmost importance for the survival of all life on this planet, now and in the future. However, this transition often adversely affects less privileged communities, with essential renewable technology like batteries, often relying on rare-earth materials, that not only have a negative environmental impact but also contribute to a range of human rights issues.

Since Cambria Eye © does not contain any rare metals, it is not subject to resource restrictions and has a low environmental impact. We use carbon and carbon-based materials for the cathode and anode materials.
PJP Eye’s Cambrian technologies use as few scarce resources as possible in order to promote the UN’s SDGs II (Sustainable Development Goals). Our Cambrian technology minimizes organic material use, is devoid of rare metals, and is a non-polluting, readily recyclable product.
Laboratory6 has acquired a technology license from PJP Eye; a company that develops and sells Cambrian integrated products globally.
Cambrian is an ideal energy solution for E-bikes, E-scooters, and other transportation products that use the sharing economy. Sharing services require access to robust, safe, and portable batteries. Cambrian has a leading edge in the sharing economy thanks to significant reductions in charging and replacement costs.
Using Cambrian, Labratory6 has developed a line-up of next-generation electrical infrastructure technology including power banks, portable generators, and charging stations. The portable battery called QuVe (shown above), has a 1.5 kWh capacity and can be charged in 1.5 hours from 1 kW of solar panels. Not only is this much faster than competing technologies, but the QuVe also has a proven battery life of more than 10 years.
Drones are at the cutting edge of technology and require cutting-edge battery technology. Cambrian is the ideal solution, having proven its ability to increase flight times by 40%. Furthermore, a key consideration for battery-powered technology is charging times, something that Cambrian has dropped to only 10 minutes.

Robotics, particularly when coupled with automation, requires a reliable and efficient energy supply.
